Cut2D is designed for 2D CNC operations such as profiling, pocketing, drilling, and simple engraving. It offers a clean, efficient workflow for producing flat parts, panels, and signs with reliable, predictable toolpaths.
Cut2D is a strong choice for users focused on straightforward 2D machining without advanced production or 3D features.
Cut2D Desktop includes all core 2D design and machining tools, but limits the maximum work area to 24" × 24". This version is best suited for smaller CNC machines or compact projects.
Cut2D Pro removes all work area limits and unlocks production features such as nesting, toolpath templates, gadgets, and keep-out zones. For Zenbot Pro Series 4×8 machines, Cut2D Pro is required to use the full cutting area without tiling.
VCarve expands on Cut2D by adding powerful 2.5D design tools and industry-leading V-carving functionality. It is the most popular software choice for CNC routing applications such as sign making, cabinetry, furniture, and decorative work.
VCarve balances creative flexibility with efficient production-ready toolpaths, making it well suited for both one-off projects and repeat workflows.
VCarve Desktop includes the full VCarve design and toolpath feature set, but limits the maximum work area to 24" × 24". It is intended for smaller CNC machines and smaller-format projects.
VCarve Pro removes work area limits and unlocks advanced production features such as true shape nesting, toolpath templates, gadgets, job setup sheets, keep-out zones, and array toolpaths. For Zenbot Pro Series 4×8 machines, VCarve Pro is the recommended option.
PhotoVCarve converts photographs and images into CNC-ready toolpaths using grayscale carving techniques. This allows detailed photographic engravings to be machined directly into wood, plastics, and other materials.
PhotoVCarve is commonly used for portraits, plaques, artwork, and personalized projects. It integrates seamlessly alongside other Vectric software in a Zenbot workflow.
Cut3D is designed for machining 3D reliefs from existing STL and 3D model files. It focuses on generating efficient 3-axis CNC toolpaths from pre-modeled parts without requiring advanced CAD modeling.
Cut3D is ideal for relief carvings, contoured signs, molds, and decorative 3D components when paired with external 3D models.
Aspire is Vectric’s most advanced CAD/CAM software, combining all VCarve Pro functionality with full 3D modeling, sculpting, and relief creation tools. It allows users to design and machine complex 3D parts entirely within one environment.
